Kris O’Connor was a total professional from start to finish. We had a few roofers give estimates but Kris stood out from the rest as being honest about what we were dealing with. He was willing to take the time with us and explain all of our options for the project. Once we agreed they moved quickly to get our job done. The crew showed up right on time and it was incredible how fast they worked. They were done in just a little over 2 days and the dumpster was gone and everything was cleaned up before we knew it. Each day Austin would give us updates on the project with pictures to show us all of the progress. He would take the time at the end of the day to let us know what they completed and what they would be doing the next day. I can’t give enough kudos to Kris, Austin and the rest of the team. Austin came by and gave me a quote and explained the whole process to me and gave some recommendations. They came to replace the siding last week and it was a huge task getting the stone off my house! Austin kept me updated through the whole process and hiccups that they came across. I had hired a bad contractor do a siding job last year and didn’t put shutters up. Austin’s team came in and fixed the siding that was uneven and not attached on a cape cod house and replaced some miss cuts and caulked around areas that should of been done to begin with. The biggest regret I made was not hiring him to do the job to begin with. He also did some minor roofing work from auxiliary chimney and had redo it just before winter because the our contractor just decided to put the shingles on improperly and would had a major leak over the winter. I entrust him and his team I have coming back to minor job for gutter guard on my pavilion soon. The crew worked from morning until the evening to get the house done, then came back this morning to do the garage. The crew worked through the high winds and rain that came through without stopping. He even went above and beyond to help us work with our insurance to cover for damages and personally offered to come over and show and discuss with the inspector on the work to be done. I called one place and they wanted $175 just to come out whether they repaired it or not PLUS any extra materials and an extra $75 per man per hour after an hour. There would be three installers. Well, if it only took an hour that would have been great. However the woman with whom I spoke, could not give me any idea of time - even if I sent her a picture. I very nicely told her I could not agree to such an open-ended situation. The second company said they don't do three-story buildings so I asked if they could recommend someone. He gave me O'Connor Contracting. Kris O'Connor said it would be a $250 service call and they'd be out that afternoon. Of course, I would have liked it to be less but was thrilled to get it done so quickly without wondering if there'd be added costs. Three young men arrived and within an hour, it was up. As I was paying for the job, he explained that a nail had fallen out so they secured the pipe into the house and I would not have another problem. He was very gentlemanly. I didn't meet the other two men but observed them working and they were enjoying themselves, laughing and talking...no bad language, loud music, smoking, drinking or raucous behavior. I am thinking about having my upper porch rebuilt and will definitely call Kris for a quote. The quality of work is paramount, but the conduct of the employees reflects the company's ethics. read less
